WANTED: Virtual Inc. is looking for a Senior Program Manager to partner with our clients to ensure they make their mark on the world! As a project manager to a portfolio of technical and/or professional association clients who are forming, changing, and growing, you will be focused on managing the implementation of initiatives that drive impact and measurable results. You will be a primary interface with clients and our internal teams to develop trusted relationships and drive our mission!

Act as program manager to a portfolio of clients who are forming, changing and growing. The Senior Program Manager is focused on overseeing the execution of client priorities and driving measurable results leveraging Virtual's Centers of Excellence (Marketing Communications, Events, Finance etc.). Not only will the Senior Program Manager develop trusted relationships with client stakeholders but also with internal Virtual stakeholders and team members to ensure alignment and client success.

  • Content knowledge
  • High focus on operations management and ensuring we keep our commitments to our clients and the work is done with high quality, on time and on budget
  • Collaborates with CoE leaders internally to manage resources for clients leveraging the Upland Resource Planning Tool
  • Act as project manager to create, oversee, manage and track strategic priorities and day to day operation plans using our project management tool, Wrike (CoE leads will own and manage specific functional projects)
  • Build trusted relationships internally across service departments to ensure alignment with Virtual scope and client goals
  • Partners with the Managing Director in managing the overall client relationship, specifically ensuring that the service delivery goals are being met
  • Acts as the internal team leader of all COE resources and matrixed client team members, and in collaboration with the Managing Director and each COE leader
  • Ensures alignment with functional resources and budget allocations for the client team and has direct influence over meeting the goals and objectives of the client
  • Provide regular goal and performance management feedback regarding client team members
  • Creates, maintains, and delivers external dashboards to client stakeholders monthly to highlight overall project status, risks, barriers, wins, gaps etc.
  • Creates, maintains, and delivers internal dashboards to Virtual stakeholders monthly to measure overall client and Virtual health
  • Facilitate standing meetings of the full internal client team
  • Manage and maintain standard operating procedures and establish best practices
  • Resolve internal and external issues through partnership with the Managing Director
  • Attend key client meetings which could include but are not limited to the board of directors, executive committee, operations committee, etc. as tied to the agreed upon scope of client
  • Identify opportunities for service improvements and collaborate for implementation

As our next Senior Program Manager, you will bring:

  • 5+ years of project/account management and/or program management experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
  • Experience working with and knowledge of memberships, governance, working groups, committees
  • Experience with project management tools, Wrike preferred
  • Detail-oriented, with strong, effective organizational, problem solving and time-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Must be a self-starter, with the ability to work independently with limited supervision and work well under pressure
  • Ability to listen attentively to fully understand the client's needs and find solutions
  • Excellent customer service, communication, both verbal and written, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to partner with and manage multiple clients simultaneously
  • Assertive and self-confident business driver, comfortable interfacing with internal and external leaders
  • Strong facilitation skills - ability to facilitate board level directors through challenging decisions
  • Servant leadership - problem solver; idea generator; creative solutions
  • Ability to mentor more junior staff
  • Energized through direct engagement with client stakeholders
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed up to 30%
  • Must be able to show proof of vaccination and meet applicable travel and/or client requirements.
