Our professional services company is hiring a Project Manager to manage and oversee technical projects on behalf of the Client Infrastructure and Applications team. The successful candidate will have a background in business and a high comfort level with technology, and able to act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders. We're looking for a responsible, articulate, and motivated Project Manager who is willing to learn and can quickly identify vulnerabilities and obstacles, and then create innovative solutions.

This role requires the ability to bring teams together, resourcefulness, creativity, and negotiation skills to ensure that the client and internal stakeholders maintain focus, priority, and momentum. This job can be performed remotely or out of our Wakefield, MA office.

  • Lead assigned projects to completion and work with key stakeholders during each phase of the project lifecycle
  • Develop individual project plans complete with dependencies as well as human and technology resource needs
  • Facilitate and lead internal team meetings to review project status
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues
  • Control project changes by collecting relevant information, evaluating the performance compared to the plan; share the results
  • Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus, and achieve objectives
  • Research best practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data and use continuous process improvement disciplines to achieve results
  • Build systems and processes to capture and report on project scope, priority, impact, categories, and resource allocation.
  • Set and manage expectations of internal and client stakeholders
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers as needed
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to all stakeholders
  • Conduct a post-project evaluation
  • Ensure effective project management governance and oversight is met

As our next Project Manager, you will bring:

  • 5+ years' experience as a project or program manger
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated ability to complete projects on time and within the stated budget
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentation), organization, time-management and leadership skills
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Wrike, Smartsheet, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint with experience presenting to stakeholders and Senior Leadership
  • Experience with basic web development and/or willingness to learn
  • Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs
  • Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas to achieve a common business objective
  • Interpersonal skills to influence and spur change, facilitate, and enhance performance within a cross - functional environment
  • Demonstrated decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions, and clarifying priorities
  • Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Must be a self-starter with ability to work independently and as a strong team player, under pressure
  • Financial acumen to support reporting on budget vs actual, contribution margins, etc.
  • Ability to manage effectively with authority yet understanding to reach positive outcomes
