A key objective of Telecom Infra Project (TIP) is to change the way telecoms infrastructure is created and consumed, from inception through maintenance. TIP is looking for an industry innovator who is capable of making TIP the collective creation engine of choice among telecoms operators, large and small vendors and our wider ecosystem. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new and enhancing current membership relationships with an assigned list of ecosystems players. TIP relies on contributions from within its membership in technology innovation, expertise and human effort. As such it is imperative that the community engagement role recruits, builds and retains meaningful membership contributions.


You will be expected to:

  • Own and maintain the global member engagement plan
  • Own and maintain individual key account plans for primary members
  • Eloquently deliver commercial, strategic and political rationale for membership in TIP to each stakeholder category
  • Identify and prioritise key stakeholders from Telcos, Vendors, Webscales, and adjacent industry actors
  • Build & maintain the member account management plan
  • Retain meaningful and influential relationships with strategic players within TIP's membership
  • Shared ownership of the KPIs for expanding member numbers
  • Shared ownership of the KPIs for member engagement and contribution


Cross functional expectations:

TIP's approach to accelerating success is through acting as a collective both in the head quarters team and among our community. It is imperative that the successful candidate has collaboration as their first tendency and welcomes shared objectives across functions. TIP is looking for someone to help build a culture that remains joint objective focused.


Criteria for selection:

The ideal candidate for this role will have experience from a "Big 5" consulting firm, commercial business development experience in selling product and /or services to telecoms operators. You will also be very comfortable discussing telecommunications technology with senior / C-level executives. Other qualifications include:

  • Relationship - you will be an excellent relationship builder with a keen eye for results delivery through understanding executive's interests and influencing organisational decisions.
  • Account planning - you will have experience working with major multinational companies and executing successful account plans.
  • Strategy - you will be a strategic thinker and have experience of taking a concept from strategy through to delivery
  • Delivery - you will have a proven track record of successful project delivery
  • Telecoms industry - deep knowledge of the telecommunications industry macros trends, strategies through to technology strategies and buying trends
  • Organisational decision making - masterful at navigating and causing decisions in telecoms operators and vendors through influence
  • International / Global - has the ability and adaptability to work on a global platform having been successful in business in multiple regions of the world.
  • Communications and presentation - a polished communicator one to one, in round table settings and one to many at industry conferences.
